Basic Summary:
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the compliance of the manufacturing processes with local, national, and international food safety and quality standards. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective strategies for risk management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within the facility. The Compliance Manager will ensure that the company adheres to all relevant regulations and certifications, while supporting the development of a culture of safety and quality.
Role Summary:
As the Compliance Manager, you will be the key point of contact for all regulatory compliance matters. You will lead internal audits, coordinate with regulatory bodies, and develop compliance protocols to ensure that the food products manufactured meet industry standards. You will report directly to senior management and work closely with other departments to ensure compliance processes are integrated across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance strategies for food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, including HACCP, BRCGS, ISO standards, and other relevant certifications.
- Lead and conduct regular internal audits, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and certification agencies to ensure compliance is met and maintained.
- Review and update compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance best practices and food safety standards.
- Manage the investigation and resolution of non-compliance issues, providing detailed reports and action plans.
- Stay current on changes to food safety laws and regulations and communicate these changes effectively to the team.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, quality control) to ensure compliance is integrated into daily operations.
